NBCC Romania is recruiting for an
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs and strategic plan of the NBCC Romania. Other key duties include business development and community outreach. This position reports to Business Development Director of NBCC International.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
1. Organization mission and strategy: Works with staff to ensure the mission is fulfilled
- Responsible for strategic planning to ensure that NBCC Romania can successfully fulfill its mission into the future
- Responsible for implementation of NBCC Romania’s programs and services that carry out the organization’s mission
- Responsible for the enhancement of NBCC Romania’s image by being active and visible in the community and by working closely with other organizations (profit, non-profit) and institutions (government, NGOs, universities)
2. Leadership: Works with the team in order to fulfill the organization mission
- Responsible for leading NBCC Romania in a manner that supports and guides the organization’s mission as defined by the Board of Directors of NBCC
- Responsible for communicating effectively with NBCC and affiliates and EBCC
3. Financial performance and viability: Ensures the financial health of the organization
- Responsible for the fiscal integrity of NBCC Romania, to include submission to NBCC of a proposed annual budget and monthly and quarterly financial statements, which accurately reflect the financial condition of the organization
- Responsible for fiscal management that generally anticipates operating within the approved budget, ensures maximum resource utilization, and maintenance of the organization in a positive financial position
- Responsible for business development and fundraising necessary to support NBCC Romania’s mission
4. Organization operations: Oversees and implements appropriate resources to ensure that the operations of the organization are appropriate
- Responsible effective administration of NBCC Romania operations
- Responsible for the hiring, development and retention of competent, qualified staff
- Responsible for signing all notes, agreements, and other instruments made and entered into and on behalf of the organization
Education and experience:
- A 5 or 4-year bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree is a plus
- Five or more years senior management experience (profit or nonprofit)
Professional qualifications:
- Solid budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and reporting
- Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to convey a vision of organization’s strategic future to staff, board, volunteers, donors, and community
- Ability to collaborate with and motivate volunteers
- Ability to build networking groups
- Demonstrated ability to oversee and collaborate with staff
- Ability to write and make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics
Foreign languages: Ability to comprehend, read, write and speak English fluently
Computer skills: Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher), Adobe Acrobat Professional internet software and database software
Licenses: Valid driver’s license
