—- Mesajul organizatorilor —-
The initiative of organizing the international conference Redefining Community in Intercultural Context RCIC’11 belongs to the Socio-Humanities Department of the “Henri Coanda” Air Force Academy. In the beginning, only an exchange of ideas and experience was intended regarding the role of communities in the contemporary era. But, considering the fact that we train people for the international context, a focus on this topic was required. Thus, the main goal is an experience exchange between professors and researchers in the field of community dynamics. Moreover, we want to put into practice the new ideas that will result from the teaching activities and scientific research. We also intend to improve the quality of education and, consequently, the personality development. Last but not least, we will disseminate the results of our rewarding cultural dialogue within the academic community.

Participants. The participants attending RCIC’11 are as follows: professors, researchers, PhD students, Master’s students from Romania and abroad. They will send in their papers and the topics will be discussed within the panels. All the new ideas that arise from these discussions could later on constitute a starting point for future similar events.
Structure of the event. RCIC’11 will be structured in three parts:
- plenary session;
- panels;
- socializing (promoting Romanian customs)
Location. RCIC’11 will be held in the following location: “Henri Coanda” Air Force Academy, 160, Mihai Viteazu Street, Brasov 500183, Romania.
